Happy 13 Months Jude!!!!

This last month has just flown by. It seems like he just had his birthday and a month has already passed. In the last month he has gone from my little baby to a toddler. I can't believe how much he is growing up already. All of a sudden he has gone from taking 5-6 steps at a time to walking everywhere in the last week. I think the big difference is that he can stand himself up when he falls. He doesn't need to crawl to something to stand back up.

He has also started to talk more. It doesn't always come out as words but he is definitely talking more. He can say Mama, dada, ball, and baby really well. He is working on fish but it just comes out as ffff. I also think he is trying to say Gabba and Brobee. He doesn't really watch that show but he loves the Brobee chair we have. I have been trying some sign language with him as well. He can do the sign for more. I am working on the sign for eat, but he always just gives me the sign for more. We will keep working on it.
Silly boy
Jude still loves to play with his toy cars, but he has found a new love. Jude loves to play basketball, just like his big brother! I am not surprised Jude loves basketball. It is Eli's favorite thing to play so we are always in the toy room playing basketball. Last week Eli wanted the basketball hoop lowered so that he could dunk it. I was lifting Jude up so he could make some baskets and I guess one time he got a little impatient waiting for me (I was taking pictures). He grabbed a hold of the net and held the ball up. I said "look Mike he wants to make a basket" and all of a sudden he made a basket by himself! He was so proud of himself, it was so adorable!!! I had my camera ready and got some pictures of Jude's first basket!

Yay Jude!
My mom got Jude a little blow up pool for his birthday so we could use it as a new ball pit. I borrowed my sister's air pump today and we finally got it blown up. The boys had a blast playing in the ball pit. We still need to get another bag of balls to fill it up but both boys had a blast. Our old ball pit was smaller so it was hard for both boys to play in it together without one of them getting frustrated. I can tell we are going to have tons of fun with this new ball pit!!!

Eli does too!
Having fun together!

So cute! :) That is awesome that Jude is talking! Avery was such a good talker, and she had several words at 12 months, but Lucy only says "Mama!" so far. :) I think that Avery just doesn't let her get a word in edgewise. haha

that's a great idea to use the blow up pool as a ball pit in the winter!
