Happy 22 Months Eli!

That means is 2 months my baby (he will always be my baby) will be 2 years old! That just doesn't seem possible. He is growing up so fast. It is amazing to see the new things he learns each day. His big thing right now is talking. He is spitting out new words by the minute it seems. He has become quite the picky eater. He is to the point where he will no longer try anything new and the things he used to love are hit or miss now. He has also become a little climber. I am constantly telling him to get off the arms of the couches and the dog cages. I can't take my eye off of him for a second. He sure is a busy boy, but that is one of things that I love about him! He has his tantrums and fits, but he is such a sweet little boy!

To Indiana and Back!!!!

We made it it back home after a wonderful week in Indiana!!! The week was super busy and unfortunately Eli got sick so we had to come home a day early, but it was still such an awesome trip. We were able to see both of our families for Thanksgiving, had a beautiful baptism for Jude, and saw quite a few of our friends.

The boys and dogs did so amazing in the car. We couldn't have asked for a better ride. Eli watched Nemo and played with his new toy dog. Jude slept until he was hungry. We stopped fed the boys and then got back on the road. Jude was awake for a little bit but then fell back asleep and slept the rest of the way. Reggie and Maggie didn't make a peep the entire car ride.

Saturday night Jude and I decided to go with my sisters; Katie and Jackie, Brother in-law Girish, and nieces Jessica, Alex, Sydney and Kayla to see Twilight's New Moon!!!! I knew if I didn't see it with them I wouldn't be able to see it in the theater unless I went by myself. Since Eli had been so crabby through mass that night I decided it would be easier on Mike if I just took Jude with me. I got several looks as I walked into the theater with a baby but he was fine. He sat with me and looked around. When I could tell he was getting tired I stood up in the aisle and rocked him til he fell asleep and then sat back down. The never heard him cry. Jude got to go to a movie before Eli did and it was an awesome movie!!!!

We are so thankful that we were able to do Thanksgiving with both sides of our families. It is always wonderful to be able to spend time together. Eli was not too into the food, but he loved playing with his cousins and grandparents. I wish I would have taken more pictures of this. It was so neat to see him running around with his cousins and having a blast. He had the biggest smile on his face when he was playing with his cousins.

The first 2 Thanksgiving dinners we had Jude was a little fussy and I ended up having to stand and hold him through dinner. Thaksgiving day was a little more relaxed for Jude. He just slept in my arms through both dinners. Overall I think he had a wonderful first Thanksgiving!

He got to wear the same outfit Eli wore last year. It is a 6-9 month outfit and it was a little small on Eli last year, I ended up putting pants over it because it was a little short. It was a little big on Jude but I am glad he got to wear it.

Sunday, November 22nd was Jude's baptism, it was such a special day that it deserves its own blog, more to come soon!! :-)

Off To Indiana!!!!

We are leaving tomorrow morning for a week long trip to Indiana!!! I am super excited about the trip and getting to see everyone, but a little nervous about the 6-7 hour car ride with the boys. I am not worried about Eli, he will be fine as long as we have books, toys, and the DVD player. I am not sure how Jude will do. He did perfect last time, but he was only 4 days old then and all he did was sleep.

We are going to be super busy while we are there, but we want to make sure we can do everything. Here is our schedule:

Saturday: Drive, Nephew Sunjay's first Birthday Party, Mass (?), New Moon!!!!
Sunday: Mass (?), Jude's Baptism
Monday: Thanksgiving with the Regers
Tuesday: Dinner with friends and touring my friends new house!!!
Wednesday: Travel to the Williams side
Thursday: Thanksgiving with my mom for lunch, Thanksgiving with my dad for dinner
Friday: Possibly shopping in the morning, and Sienna's (my best friends little girl) 2nd birthday party!
Saturday: Drive back to Iowa!!!

It will be super busy, but we are super excited to go!!!!! Oh and did I mention we are bringing the dogs with us! There will be lots to post when we get back!

Back To Doing Daycare

Today I started watching a little boy named James. He will be 2 this Saturday so he is only a couple of months older than Eli. Right now he is coming 2 days a week, but sometime after Thanksgiving he will start coming everyday. He is a very sweet boy and he and Eli played so well together today. I think Eli has missed being around other kids. I am hoping to watch maybe 2 more kids, but for now it is nice to have just the 1 extra kiddo. It is a nice way to ease back into it and today could not have gone better. Eli and James played together, ate at the same time, they both napped from 1:00 - 2:45, and then they played some more. I am so thankful that I am able to stay home with my boys!!!!

Jude had a fun day too, he loves to play in his bouncy seat

Jude's 3 Month Pictures

I took Jude back to JCPenney today to get his 3 month pictures taken. It went so much better and I only spent $5.34!!! You can't beat that. Here are a few of my favorites. His Auntie Beth made his hat and sweater, she is super talented!

Baby Jude is 3 Months!!!

I took Jude to get his 3 month pictures today. Well I tried to take Jude to get his 3 month pictures taken. Our appointment was at 1:50. I made sure to feed him right before we left so he would be awake and happy for his pictures. We got there right on time and he was in such a good mood. Unfortunately we had to wait over an hour. By the time it was our turn I had to wake him up and he was in no mood to have his picture taken. If I wasn't holding him he was screaming. So we are going back tomorrow to try again, and since we had such a horrible experience we are getting 6 sheets of pictures for free!!! Hoprfully tomorrow will go better. Here are a few pictures of my little boy!

Eli and Jude

Eli:

Eli has been talking up a storm lately. We are hearing new words and sounds everyday. It is really nice to be able to ask Eli what he wants and he is able to tell us. Today he told me he wanted to color, so we did! Usually when I try to get a video of Eli he just wants to see what I am recording, but today he was actually excited to talk to me on camera! Here is a video of Eli talking.

Jude:

Jude is really starting to notice his hands. He is constantly looking at them or chewing on the. And there has been several times when I have caught him sucking his thumb. We have always said we would rather our kids have a pacifier than suck their thumb just because it will be easier to get rid of a pacifier. I have to admit it is pretty adorable when Jude sucks his thumb. If that is what he wants I don't think I will be able to stop him.

This is how I found Jude this morning

Aren't They Adorable!

I love these boys soooooo much!

Jude has been trying to get his thumb lately, he likes the pa pa too so we will just see what he decides on!

It seems that Eli always wants to color when I am holding or feeding Jude so we use this set up so he can't color on the floor or wall

Jude is such a sweet boy

Happy Baby!

Jude is my little night owl. He used to be up til at least midnight each night but I recently got his schedule adjusted to where he was asleep by 11:00 or 11:3o. I am hoping with the time change he will start going to bed by 10:00. I do enjoy having a few hours with him after Eli goes to bed. I get some pretty great smiles out of him and tonight he even laughed for me. (of course not for the camera) Jude being up late isn't too bad. I get the quality time with him in the evening and he has been sleeping from 11:00-7:00 usually and the I feed him and he goes back to sleep for a few more hours. This gives me some quality time with Eli in the morning.

Here is my happy baby at 2 1/2 months!
