We are Moving!

Not really. :-)  But I did move to a different blog.  Apparently I use a few too many pictures in my blog posts and have used up all the picture storage I am allowed on one blog so I have started another one.  I hope to catch up on a few things I have missed over the past few months and get back to blogging regularly!  I had so much fun at Eli's Preschool sock hop today that I couldn't resist blogging about it.  Come check out the new blog:

Eli's Birthday Party - Ninja Turtles

Today we had a birthday party Ninja Turtle style!  Eli had asked for a ninja turtle party so of course we had to have one.  The only problem was that their were no Ninja Turtle party decorations.  Normally we just get some themed plates, napkins, table cloth, and balloons and we are set for our party.  This time I had to get creative and luckily Ninja turtles are pretty easy to create!  I actually had a blast making his party decorations!  I am most proud of my ninja turtle balloons!

Eli's 5th Birhtday

Eli had a wonderful birthday!  I still can't believe that he is 5.  That seems like such a big age, probably because I know that he will be starting kindergarten this year and I am definitely not ready for that.  Since his birthday was on a Wednesday he was able to celebrate at school!  He got to take cookies to school and he was excited about that.  Of course we had to take ninja turtle cookies. :-)  He has a blast at school, like always, and came home with a birthday crown!  After lunch Eli got to open up the present he got from school and then we let him open up a present from us.  Mike had found an old Ninja Turtle game for the game cube at a used game store.  Eli was super excited about it and even more excited when we told the boys they got to go upstairs with daddy and play it before rest time!
We celebrated with all the daycare kids and had cookies for snack.  We had been talking about Eli's birthday for several weeks and the daycare kids were just as excited about, plus they had all seen the cookies. :-)
After all the daycare kids left Eli was able to open his presents.  He got quite a few presents from us but besides the main present everything else was pretty small and inexpensive.  His main gift was the Skylanders video game.  We had not planned on getting that for him because we thought 5 was too young for a video game.  We had even told him that you had to be 6 to get it.  We found a version for the IPad that you could actually use the guys for and had gotten that.  But the more we thought about it it seemed silly to get the IPad version that was only a few $ less when we knew he would be wanting the real game in a year.  So we decided to get the game for him and we are just going to limit how much he plays it.  It isn't going to be an everyday game.  He was very happy about all of his presents but he was SOOOOOO excited when he opened up his game!  I am so glad that I was able to video tape his reaction!  He of course wanted to play it right away!  So they got to play it while I got dinner ready.  After dinner we sang happy birthday and all had cupcakes!  It was such a wonderful day for our 5 year old!

Colts

Today we cheered on our Colts in hopes that they would beat the Ravens to move on in the playoffs.  Unfortunately that was not the case but the kiddos sure did look cute in their Colts gear.  Next week we will cheer on Peyton Manning and the Broncos in hopes that they can beat the Ravens and move on and eventually win the superbowl!!
I don't think there are any cuter Colts fans than these 3!

Isabel Annette at 18 Months

Isabel is officially closer to being 2 than 1.  How in the world is that possible?  It sure has gone by quickly and I hope the next 6 months slow down.  I am not ready for my baby to be a big girl but she sure seems in a hurry to grow up.  She is such a climber.  She has now mastered climbing on the couches no problem.  We used to block her out of the kitchen but now she climbs on the loveseat and tries to climb over the arm to get to the kitchen.  She also likes to climb on the kitchen chairs to try to get onto the table.  I have resorted to putting the chairs that don't have booster seats on them on top of the table just to keep her down.  She definitely keeps me busy.  Her vocabulary has exploded lately.  She can repeat almost anything we say and she is starting to put words together!  Her most common sentence is "Maggie pretty." :-)  I love to hear her sweet little voice!  She is also quite the eater and her big ole belly gives that away!  She can eat as much as the boys most days and she isn't to picky.  She loves pasta and bananas and seems to get messy no matter what she is eating.  Her hair is finally starting to grow and I am excited to be able to play with it!  We got in our first set of pigtails and they were adorable, even if Mike thought they were silly!  Hopefully she will let me do her hair more often so I can get some practice.  Her hair is so thin, it isn't the easiest to do anything with.

Isablel's First Pigtails!

Isabel's hair is finally long enough to play with!  Today I put some cutie little pigtails in her hair and she looked adorable!  Mike thought they looked silly because they stuck straight out but I love them!  Having a little girl sure is lots of fun!
