Jude's Big Boy Hair Cut

Jude got a big boy hair cut today. Mike has been wanting to this forever and I finally gave in. Jude gets so hot and sweaty so I decided it was time for a short haircut. I was worried that his rather large cheeks would look so silly if he didn't have much hair on top but I was pleasantly surprised. He looks like a big boy but still absolutely adorable!!

My Big Boy

We finally did it. At 3 years and 3 1/2 months Eli is finally in his big boy bed and he absolutely loves it! For the first time ever he actually asked to go to bed. :-) Hopefully the rest of the night goes well and it is an easy transition for all of us. Right now he is still up there talking but I checked on him and he hadn't moved from his bed. He sure does look adorable in his big boy bed and I only teared up a little. It is extra special because Eli's big boy bed used to be my toddler bed. Well it was either mine or Jackie's but I love that I am able to use this bed with my kiddos. I sure do love this big guy!

Biking Boys!

Over the weekend the boys and I checked out a big consignment sale full of kids stuff at the fairgrounds. We went on Saturday and it was the last day for it so almost everything was 50% off. I didn't go looking for anything particular I just wanted to look around. I ended up getting a few baby girl outfits, 6 outfits for $9!!! And we stumbled across something that was just too good to pass up! Since Eli had just learned to ride his tricycle we had just planned on letting him use that this summer even though he did look big on it. We when I saw this little bike with training wheels in great condition for $15 I couldn't pass it up. I let Eli try it out and he could pedal it no problem and was so excited about it. It also didn't hurt that it is a spiderman bike. We got it home and he had to ride it right away. He is able to pedal it, but is still pretty slow about it and didn't want me to let go of him, which was fine since he didn't have a helmet yet. I got the boys down for nap and went out and got him a helmet (which cost more than the bike) because I knew after nap we would be back outside riding bikes.
Since Eli has a new bike Jude was pretty excited to be able to use the little red tricycle. I helped him on it and started to push him and he just took off pedaling! I let go and he just kept going! I couldn't believe it. Now I am sure the downward incline of our driveway is the reason he was able to keep going be he was actually trying to push the pedals himself. By the end of the summer I think both boys will be riding their bikes with no problems!!!
