Happy Fall!

The boys and I have been enjoying this beautiful fall weather the past few days. We have been spending as much time outside as we can. Eli and Jude both love to be outside. Eli is constantly asking to go to the playground or down by the water and Jude's face just lights up with excitement when I say lets go outside! Yesterday we went on a little nature walk down by the water and over by some trees. I let Eli lead the way and he had a blast. Today we took a walk to our neighborhood playground but instead of playing on the playground we played in all the leaves and the trees! Of course I had my camera and of course I took a lot of pictures!!! Enjoy!
We love fall!

Boiler Up!!

Today we took the boys to their first Purdue Football game and it was such a great day! It was a perfect day for football. We knew that Eli would absolutely love the football game but we weren't sure how well Jude would do. During the 2nd quarter we took the boys out and walked around the concourse for a little bit because Jude's face was starting to get a little red from being hot. While we were walking around we found a huge Drew Brees bobble head statue. It was very cool. We went back into the game before halftime so that the boys could see the band at halftime. Mike's parents went to the game with us but there seats weren't with us. They came over to sit with us at halftime and were able to stay since the people in front of had left. We knew Jude wouldn't last the entire game so we figured we would just leave when he was done. We made it all the way through the 3rd quarter before it was time to go. Both boys were getting tired since it was 2 hours past nap time. They both crashed as soon as we got them in the car. Unfortunately Purdue lost but it was still an absolute great game! I am glad that we are able to do such fun things with the boys!

Happy Birthday Dad

Today is my Dad's birthday. We got together with him on Sunday to celebrate. It was a lot of fun. All of the kids were excited to celebrate his birthday. Eli was just so happy to be able to run around and play with his cousins. He had a blast. It is always great to see family and I am glad that we are still able to get together for birthdays.

Football, Friends, and Fun!!!

We had such a fun day today! Some friends of ours came over to watch the Purdue game and the brought their adorable 12 weeks old twins, Sam and Marah! It was so great to get to hang out with Neil and Hadleigh and catch up. At Purdue Mike lived with Neil and I lived with Hadleigh. Their twins are absolutely precious! They are such laid back babies. They laid on the floor just looking around and hardly made a peep. I am so glad that we are back in Indiana and we can watch these sweet babies grow!

I got to cuddle up to Marah
While Sam took a nap on the couch :-)
Tonight me and the boys spent some time out by the water. Eli loves to go out there. We have 2 white ducks in out neighborhood and they are not scared of people at all. They were swimming across the pond when we went out there and as soon as the spotted us they swam right over to us. The came right out of the water and got within a few feet from us. They actually made me a little nervous when they were so close so I made sure I was holding both boys. The ducks did move away, but they were never too far from us. They actually followed us back up to our house and stood outside our back door for a few minutes. Reggie and Maggie were going crazy!
I LOVE the way the trees reflect in the water!
And I love taking pictures of the boys by the water
Eli liked watching the ducks swim towards us and come out of the water

Jude had fun watching the duckies too!The ducks came right up to the back doorAll 4 "kids" we excited to see them

No More Antibiotics!!!

Yesterday was the last day of our 10 day antibiotics. Both boys seem to be better and I am hoping that is the case. Jude did wake up yesterday covered from head to toe in a rash. I wasn't too concerned about it. Jude got his one year shots 2 weeks ago and his Dr said that this round of shots can be accompanied by a rash that shows up 10 -12 days later. Since he was still on the antibiotic I decided to go ahead and call the Dr. He said that it very well could be the shots, but it also could be the antibiotic, sulfatrim. 1 out of 30 kids have a mild reaction to this medicine. He said there is no way to tell what caused the rash so from no on we will just have to avoid Sulfatrim just to be safe. I am guessing that it was from the shots, but I wouldn't want to risk it.
My boys feeling better, I love these boys :-)
