Eli is 15 Months Old!!!

I know I say this each month but I can't believe he is 15 months old already! I love him more and more each day! He had his checkup this morning and is weighing in at 22 1/2 lbs which is in the 25% for his age. He is 29 1/2 inches long which is in the 10%, so he is just a little small. He was so good at the Dr today. The Dr got to hear most of the words he can say and the dr said he is right where he is supposed to be for his age and maybe even a little advanced for boys his age. Eli had to get 3 shots which he wasn't too happy about but he was ok as soon as I picked him up. This video is a couple of minutes long, but he is just so stinking cute I had to share it!

Eli Makes Me Smile :-)

We had such a great weekend with Eli. On Friday we went to an outdoor mall and walked around and then went to dinner at Red Robin. This was the first time we have taken Eli out to eat and not brought him any food. He did great with his grilled cheese and oranges. He also loved the cup with a straw in it. He now carries the cup around because it has a basketball on it. (he even took the cup in the bath tub with him and he finally played in the tub with out me!!!) When we were leaving Red Robin Eli got to take a balloon home, it was the hit of the night! He walked around with the balloon for an hour before bed. It was so adorable!

He loved his balloon!
This is how he walked with the balloon!
With mommy and his balloon in his new spring pajamas!

This picture is from Saturday. I guess Eli was a little tired from playing and needed to rest with his blankie! I wouldn't think this would be comfortable!
Today was another busy day but we got to see baby John Paul! He is such a cutie. I am excited that he will only be about 4 months older than Eli's little brother. Eli has 2 boy cousins so close in age and they are always so cute together.

Weekend Fun!

Saturday Eli and I went over to my sister Katie's house. My mom was visiting for the weekend and my sister Jackie was there too. It was such a nice day out we took the kids outside to play. This was the first time I have taken Eli outside and just let him run around in the grass. He had a blast. I tried putting him in the swing and down the slide but all he wanted to do was run in the grass. It was so fun to watch him. His face just lit up with excitement. He was not happy when we had to come back inside.

Unfortunately it was not such a fun weekend for Maggie. I took both Reggie and Maggie to get groomed yesterday at Petsmart where we always take them. The groomer accidently cut Maggie's ear and she had to get stitches. My poor little girl. She has to wear a cone so she doesn't scratch her ear and pull her stitches out and she hates it. I feel bad for her. She is even having trouble eating and Maggie usually swallows her food in 2 seconds. I am sure she just needs to get used to the cone. I understand that accidents happen but we probably won't be taking the dogs back there.

Poor Maggie :-(

Easter

Easter didn't quite go as I had planned, but at least we got to see all of our family and share the big news in person. Unfortunately Eli didn't feel well. Luckily since our Easter was supposed to be so busy we decided to do our family Easter the night before. Eli enjoyed his Easter presents.

Sunday morning we got up and went to Mass with Mike's parents and sister. We then headed up to Fowler to see my family. We went to my dad's first and Eli seemed to be ok but by the time we left I could tell he wasn't feeling well. I took his temperature when we got to my mom's and it was 102. I knew that was too high to be his teeth. I gave him some Motrin and he perked up a little so he got to hunt for some Easter eggs. My mom loves to do the Easter Egg hunt for the kids, each grandkid had close to 70 eggs! Eli had fun for a few minutes and then he needed help from his cousins.
After he got his eggs I noticed he was still warm and his fever hadn't gone down so we decided to head home. Once we got home I checked his temperature and it was still at 102. I decided to give him a bath to try and break the fever. He was fine for about 5 minutes and then he started shivering and got so upset. After that we just rocked and watched Yo Gabba Gabba until bedtime. I took him to the Dr today and he has a right ear infection and a viral throat infection. Poor baby boy.

It's A Boy!!!! **Update**

I can't wait to meet Eli's little brother!

**I wanted to add this picture**

We both knew right away that we were having a little boy when we saw this shot!

The Easter Bunny!!!!

Today I took Eli to see the Easter Bunny. He did great. I was worried that he would cry because he isn't too fond of strangers lately but he was ok with it. He didn't crack a smile but he didn't cry so I was happy. While we were waiting in line he kept pointing at the Easter Bunny so I knew he was a little interested. When we got up to the bunny I held Eli so he was facing me and then sat him on the bunny's lap. I thought he would do better if he didn't see that I was putting him in the bunny's lap. I am very excited for Easter this year. Since Eli was only 7 weeks old last Easter he didn't really get to enjoy it. Tomorrow will be his very first Easter egg hunt!

It's a.......

Beautiful Baby!!!!
I think this picture is sooo cute!
We had our ultrasound today and it went great. Our baby is growing right on track for 19 weeks. We got to hear the heart beat and see our baby move all around. We even found out the sex, BUT we have decided to keep it a secret for just a little while. Since we are going to see all of our family on Easter we wanted to tell them in person. So we will be able to announce it after Sunday. And on a fun note I wore my non-maternity jeans to the ultrasound!!!! I don't think I will be wearing them much longer though :-)

Oh Eli :-)

If he can't climb into a toy bucket he will figure some way to get into it!

Last night was bath night for Eli. We have just been using his baby bath tub. It has a little seat in it for a toddler and there is plenty of room but lately he has been climbing in and out. So I decided to take the baby tub out and just use the tub. Eli was a little skeptical at first. He got in ok and got some of his toys and seemed to be having fun. As he was moving around he slipped a little but didn't fall because I had a hold of him. That did it for him. I couldn't get him out of there fast enough. He was so scared, he just clung to me. So I drained the water and filled up the baby tub but he wouldn't even get in there. So last night wasn't a bath night after all. Tonight I decided to try again. I could tell he was a little nervous as I put him in but he didn't cry so I thought that was a good sign. I got out the camera to take some pictures and as I took one I noticed a little leg going over the side of the tub as he was climbing out. I don't want him to be scared of the bath tub, especially since it is almost summer and pool time. So i put on my bathing suit and got in the tub with Eli and gave him his bath. He had fun with me in there. Hopefully I won't have to get in the tub on Wednesday night!

Sunday night before he got scared

His little leg is coming up as he is trying to climb out tonight

See baths can be fun

Eli's First Haircut!!

Today we took Eli for his very first haircut. Mike has been saying he needed one for the past 6 months and I finally agreed. We took him to Club House Cuts for Kids and he did really good. He got to sit in a big yellow car and watch a Blue's Clues video. I was a little surprised that the car didn't have any type of straps so I stayed right next to him the entire time. He sure is a handsome boy!!
