Happy Cast Off Day to Isabel!

Today was a big day for Isabel.  Not only did she turn 16 months old but she also got her cast off!  Yay!  We had to celebrate this big day by signing her cast!  It is such a cute little cast. :-)
I was a little worried about how she would do when they had to use a big noisy saw to cut the cast off but she did great.  She fussed a little bit but didn't cry at all.  I think it helped that she was sitting in my lap the entire time.  The nurse said he was quite impressed.  He said most kids her age and even older have to be held down.  After they got it cut off we headed back to have it x-rayed to make sure that it had healed.  She was not too happy about the xray.  Poor girl screamed and screamed while I had to hold her down. :-(  The Dr said that everything looked great and she should be just fine but it may take a day or 2 for her to be up and walking on it because it could feel awkward to her after being in a cast for the past 3 1/2 weeks.  Of course after we got home it took her all of 2 minutes to decide to walk on it. :-)  She was a little wobbly and after 4 or 5 steps decided to crawl for a bit but by tonight she was walking everywhere! She is such a tough little girl!

And since I don't get a day off too often we I rescheduled her 15 month check up for today so I only had to take 1 day off.  The boys got to come along too to get their flu shots.  Isabel had a great check up but of course wasn't too fond of her shots but I had 2 very BRAVE boys who barely made a face when they got their shots! :-)
